Rehabilitation and expansion to four lanes of the Dominion Bridge, which straddles the Chaudière River near the Quebec City Bridge on Highway 132 in Lévis.

Products and Services
Structal-Bridges
  • Fabrication and installation of all structural steel components (3,500 tons), including 36 girders and eight delta-legs
  • Longest girder: 39.6 m (130 ft.)
  • Each delta-leg measures 40 m (131 ft.) and weighs 125 tons
  • All steel components were metallized

Goodco Z-Tech
  • Eight elastomeric pot bearings: four multidirectional (PM) and four multidirectional with uplift restraint devices (PMU)
  • Eight self-lubricating bronze spherical bearings (installed beneath the delta-legs)
  • Two LG-3 modular expansion joints with three seals (44.3 m/145 ft. total)

Special features
  • Erection of large-scale girders over the Chaudière River canyon at an altitude of 53 m (174 ft.) in close proximity to the CN railway bridge
