The Structal-Bridges plant in Quebec City obtains ISO 9001:2008 certification

Structal-Bridges recently upgraded its level of ISO certification at the Quebec City plant in order to ensure optimal quality assurance in the design, fabrication and installation of its products. The facility, which was previously certified ISO 9001:2000, received the new certification in July.

ISO quality management standards
ISO 9001:2008 contains no new requirements compared to the 2000 edition, which it replaces, but provides clarifications to the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000. Introduced in 1987, ISO has become the global benchmark for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. ISO standards provide a recognized framework for the quality management systems (QMS) of organizations and companies in 175 countries around the world.
