2007
Canam Group acquires Eastern Bridge, located in Claremont, New Hampshire, a company specialized in the manufacture of steel structures for highway and railway bridges. Structal-Bridges assumes the management of this manufacturing operation in Claremont, NH. This acquisition allows the company to increase its presence in the U.S. bridge market and take part in projects that, because of Buy American legislation, are only accessible to producers with a manufacturing presence in the U.S.

2006
Canam Group acquires Goodco and Z-Tech, manufacturers of structural bearings and expansion joints for bridge and highway infrastructure. By assuming the management of these two manufacturing operations, Structal-Bridges broadens its range of products and consolidates its position as Canada’s leading manufacturer in this sector.

2005
In February, Structal-Bridges secures a contract for the fabrication and erection of structural steel components for two bridges over Jewetts Creek in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The contract is estimated at nearly $4.5 M.

2003
Structal secures the biggest contract in its history for the fabrication and erection of steel girders to be used in the construction of two 1,200-foot bridges over the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta. The contract is worth $11,500,000.

1998
The Canam Manac Group acquires all shares in Structal Inc.

1996
The Canam Manac Group acquires a 45-percent interest in Structal Inc., which operates a 130,000-square-foot plant and employs 50 people.

1956
Structal Inc. is founded.
